Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor Corporation acquired all shares of AST Turbo AG, a Swiss specialist in rotating-equipment maintenance, with effect from 27 February.

MHI said the purchase strengthens its compressor unit's field service in international markets. AST Turbo brings experienced technical supervisors and a virtual-assembly technique based on 3D laser measurement, which can shorten inspection periods.
Deal terms and financing
The financial terms were not disclosed. AST Turbo will keep its current management team and its customer base.
Market context
AST Turbo, founded in 2012 and based in Altendorf, has worked on projects in Europe, North America and the Middle East. The two companies had already provided field service together on several projects.
