Why Inflexion (Buyout Fund VI) is buying Marioff

Sentinel said the divestiture lets its Spectrum Safety Solutions platform focus on its detection and monitoring businesses Autronica, Det-Tronics and Fireye. Marioff chief executive Juha Ilvonen said Sentinel's support had helped the company exceed its goals.

Deal terms and financing

Inflexion is investing through its Buyout Fund VI; it is the firm's seventh investment in the Nordic region. No price was disclosed.

Regulatory approvals and timing

The deal was subject to customary regulatory approvals. Sentinel announced on 19 August 2026 that it had completed the sale.

Market context

Headquartered in Vantaa, Marioff serves customers in more than 70 countries across marine and land-based markets with its HI-FOG technology. Sentinel acquired it in 2024 in a carve-out of Carrier Global's industrial fire business.
