Why Deel, Inc. is buying Clarity

Deel said workforce impersonation had become a new frontier of fraud, citing North Korean operatives posing as job candidates and a Gartner projection that one in four candidate profiles will be fraudulent by 2028. It plans to embed Clarity's technology across hiring, onboarding and device and access management in Deel IT.

Deal terms and financing

Deel did not disclose terms. Calcalist reported a price of $40m-50m and The Next Web said the consideration was a mix of cash and shares.

Market context

Clarity was co-founded by chief executive Michael Matias, a former officer in Israel's Unit 8200, and chief technology officer Ziv Isaiah. Deel, valued at more than $17bn, said it had passed $1.5bn in annual recurring revenue in the first half of 2026.
