Why VertiGIS Ltd is buying 1Spatial plc

VertiGIS said combining 1Spatial's data-management platform with its own industry applications, which extend Esri's ArcGIS, would add a data-quality and automation layer and help customers prepare spatial data for AI tools. The deal expands VertiGIS into the UK, France and Benelux and strengthens it in North America and Australia.

Regulatory approvals and timing

The deal was implemented by a court-sanctioned scheme of arrangement subject to shareholder, court and regulatory approvals, with completion originally expected in the first half of 2026. VertiGIS announced on 30 April 2026 that the acquisition had closed.
