Parkview Health, the Fort Wayne-based non-profit health system, has signed an agreement to acquire Ovation Healthcare of Brentwood, Tennessee, the two organisations said on 16 October. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Why Parkview Health is buying Ovation Healthcare
Parkview said it will bring its administrative and operational expertise, including revenue cycle management and information services, to a national platform aimed at helping rural providers stay independent and lower the cost of care. The system began expanding services for independent providers in 2025 and called the deal another step in a multi-year plan to cut administrative costs.
Deal terms and financing
Parkview will own Ovation once the deal closes. Ovation will remain a separate healthcare services organisation with its own governing board, and the companies will combine their shared-services operations under the Ovation Healthcare brand.
Regulatory approvals and timing
Closing is expected in the coming weeks, subject to standard regulatory review and approvals.
Market context
Ovation, founded in 1977 as Quorum Health Resources and renamed in 2023, serves clients ranging from critical access hospitals to large systems. Parkview operates 16 hospitals across northern Indiana and northwest Ohio and employs about 20,000 people.
