Luca Mining announced on 21 September 2026 that it will buy Capstone Copper's Cozamin copper-silver mine in Zacatecas, Mexico, for US$290m upfront and up to US$95m in later payments.
Market context
The deal followed days after Luca agreed to buy Agnico Eagle's El Barqueño gold property in Jalisco for up to US$60m. Closing requires clearance from Mexico's antitrust authority and the TSX Venture Exchange.
