Deal terms and financing

The consortium is buying EQT's 96.06% holding in Acuon Capital, which wholly owns Acuon Savings Bank. Hanwha Life will hold 50.54% and Centroid 45.52%; Centroid is reported to have a put option to sell its stake to Hanwha Life later.

Regulatory approvals and timing

Closing requires approval from Korean financial regulators, which the buyers aim to secure by year-end.

Market context

Under EQT, Acuon's total assets roughly doubled to about ₩10tn and its savings bank rose to fifth in Korea by lending. Hanwha Life's relatively low solvency ratio was reported as a reason for sharing the purchase.
