Dassault Systèmes signed a definitive agreement on 23 July to acquire ArisGlobal, a provider of safety, regulatory and quality software to the life sciences industry, for about $1.8bn in cash at closing.
Why Dassault Systèmes SE is buying ArisGlobal
Dassault said combining ArisGlobal's real-world patient safety data with its own research, clinical and manufacturing software would create a unified intelligence platform across the therapy lifecycle. ArisGlobal processes more than 12 million patient safety reports a year and its NavaX AI platform automates safety case processing.
“Today marks a major milestone in our ambition to transform the Life Sciences industry by connecting molecule, patient and real-world outcomes.”
Deal terms and financing
Dassault will pay about $1.8bn at closing plus up to $200m linked to AI-related revenue milestones, funded entirely from balance-sheet cash. It expects the deal to be accretive to revenue growth and EPS in year one; ArisGlobal has more than 1,300 employees and expects about $175m of revenue in 2026.
Regulatory approvals and timing
The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and was expected to close in the second half of 2026; no completion had been announced by mid-October.
Market context
Founded in 1989 and headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts, ArisGlobal was backed by Nordic Capital from 2019, with a further investment in 2021, during which it moved its LifeSphere suite to the cloud and launched the NavaX generative AI tool.
