Why Royal BAM Group is buying Gebroeders Blokland

BAM said the deal strengthens its position in Dutch residential development by adding regional development positions and building rights for about 2,400 homes, and that it plans to use its wooden housing concept, Flow, on Blokland sites. Chief executive Ruud Joosten said it would raise BAM's annual development potential by around 10%.

Regulatory approvals and timing

Completion required approval from the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets. BAM completed the acquisition on 11 March 2026, consolidating Blokland from that date.
